In order to make comfortable, sturdy and elegant chairs, I have chosen to work with traditional techniques and with quality material.
As for any other crafts, the upholsterers use old manual techniques and work with tools which have been the same since the XVIIIth century ( upholstery hammer, curved needle, trammel, meter, scissors…)

There is a number of different steps in traditional upholstery, up to 20 for some chairs.

Each chair has its style and each style has its type of upholstery. Each step requests manual dexterity as well as mastering the technique appropriate to both the seat and your choice of comfort and sturdiness.
